Um Ramo (do alemão Zweig) da Sociedade Antroposófica é a representação oficial local da Sociedade, onde pessoas reúnem-se semanalmente para estudar a obra de Rudolf Steiner, promovendo eventualmente atividades especiais como palestras públicas, apresentações, etc. Ao contrário de um simples grupo de estudo, que pode ser formado e desfeito a qualquer momento, um Ramo deve manter a continuidade de seus trabalhos. A participação depende da organização de cada Ramo: há alguns que admitem em suas reuniões apenas membros da Sociedade. No Brasil os ramos são, em geral, abertos a qualquer pessoa que se interesse pela obra de Rudolf Steiner e talvez por alguma iniciativa que a aplique na vida prática, a critério do coordenador. Normalmente é recomendável que o interessado em participar já tenha algum conhecimento das obras básicas de Rudolf Steiner.

A Branch (from the German Zweig) of the Anthroposophical Society is its local official representation, where people meet in a weekly basis to study the work of Rudolf Steiner. A Branch may eventually promote public lectures, presentations, etc. Contrary to a simple study group, which may be formed and dissolved at any moment, a Branch should maintain the continuity of its work. Participation depends on the organization of each Branch: there are some Branches which admit to their meetings only members of the Society. In Brazil, Branches are in general open to any person who has an interest on the work of Rudolf Steiner and perhaps on some initiative which applies it in practical life, subjected to the approval of the coordinator. Normally, it is recommended that a person interested in participating in a Branch has already some knowledge of the basic books by Rudolf Steiner.
